Abstract

The article compares the literary stylistic features of Old Russian “word weaving” and the poetry of authors belonging to the Prikaz school of poetry. The corpus of texts attributed by scholars to this circle of poets is examined for compliance with the characteristic features of the Old Russian style. The results of the comparison show that it is possible to speak of the intentional use of certain features of this style by the poets of the Prikaz school from both aesthetic and literary-historical points of view.
