The review article examines the specifics of Irish Gothic literature, which has attracted the researchers’ attention in recent decades. The characteristic Gothic topoi and their existence in Irish literature and cinema are analyzed, in particular the topos of graveyard, prison, religious topos, “historical” space, the “big house” topos, natural landscapes, intertextual locus (spaces referring to previous works) and features of spatial topics in Irish children’s literature.
